Peddling 6 miles in the morning can be a little tiring but I get encouraged to keep at it when I go over Spruce St. and see this:

Sometimes I look over and its bumper to bumper as far as I can see. No thanks, I’ll stick with the 2-wheeler.

So as of yesterday afternoon my morning was to be filled with waking up early, running a yard sale for half the day, cleaning up said yard sale and then mowing and edging the lawn.
Well, it rained so all of that got scrapped and Kat & I opted for a more lethargic morning which consisted of a wet bike ride to panera for some breakfast fun and an even wetter ride back.

Then, since we chose to sleep on the sofa bed last night, we dried off, attempted to get a fire started, jumped in bed and started jumping in one of our newest favorite pasttimes together, blogging.

While surfing through the online lives of our blogging community we played a little game with Bella, our vocally tuned canine, and discovered that she is a multitasker, able to harmonize with Kat while still chewing on her damn fish toy which she nibbles on for hours on end through the day.

Now we are working on Kat’s new blog layout that will be on my wordpress server and I assume after that we will get ready for a party with friends later tonight.
As to the relevancy to the title of this blog, I believe God saw what we had planned, deemed it unfit for today and brought the rain to slow us down. Which, in my opinion, was downright bitchin’.

When I told everyone that I got this job a couple months ago they were a little skeptical as to whether or not I would like it. I’ve never been the “full-time job” regular joe shmoe kind of guy. I’ve always either worked out of my house or done freelance.
Oddly enough, I really like it here. Currently I am the only one in the design department so I have this whole big office to myself.

I work on the mother of all computer screens with a screaming fast mac tower

And I listen to podcasts and music on my ipod while I fiddle with Illustrator and Photoshop all day.

On top of all of that, my company is basically a whole bunch of easy going guys who joke, play pranks and mess around all day in between their work. Plus, my boss is wicked cool and doesn’t make my job something I hate to do or come to.
I don’t know if I will be here for forever but for now I am definitely grateful and content to be where I am right now.

Everybody keeps asking me about my new job I have been at for the last few months and I realized I have yet to actually show you anything I have made at it. Well now you can shutup about it:

Hey this is Evan posting on this new wordpress thingy, I am locked in Jon’s basement until I write something for all of his pictures. I know what you’re thinking, how did little Jon get a physical specimen like Evan down in the basement. The answer of course is chloroform on a rag. For the last month or so Jon has been going through about 8 years of digital photos on his computer, prepping the good ones for print and archiving the rest. The total number of pictures is in the 10’s of thousands so it is taking him little while but here is a little taste of some of the more humorous photos he has unearthed. I am going to be here for a while.

This is me playing guitar, doombeck, djembe, and singing at the same time one night when noone showed up for the jr hi worship band. It was fun, I did all of them poorly but I really believe in quantity over quality.
