A lot of you don’t know this but Micah, my little bro, was fat when he was little. Like had the baby cheeks all the way into elementary school. Saw this kid running around Tomorrowland on Monday and totally thought I was looking into the past at a younger version of my brother. My mom can back me up on this, doesn’t this kid look exactly like Micah when he was that age? He is also acting weird like Micah so that helps with the illusion as well in my opinion.
Now that I have what I consider adequate equipment to take good photos with I am pushing myself much more into the world of color. When you have a crappy camera it is so much easier to make a photo look a hella lot better by switching it to black and white and doing things like ramping up the contrast on it. Noise looks better in black and white as well and in black and white you don’t have to control color levels at all. I know, this is a photographer secret I am giving away but I am confessing it so I will be held accountable. My photos from now on will be color if I want them to be color and black and white if I want them to be black and white. No longer am I allowing the crappy equipment I own to control my artistic style. My eye is now the one in charge.
This is Jonathan & Levi. They are 2/3 of the Murtaugh family males. Went to panera last night with them and Sissy for some munchies. I grabbed a Hot Chocolate to battle the early Summer freak hurricane weather chills. Heading to their house tonight to play “Risk” for the first time. I am probably going to suck.
So I got the new camera and am taking pictures by the buttload because I am on a photography high still everytime I click the shutter. I’ll post shots here everyone once in a while but if you really wanna see more of my ish more frequently check out my flickr account. Flickr is the shiz and its way easier to use my batch uploader tool to upload pics than it is to create a post in wordpress. And, if you have a flickr account you can add me as a contact and get my photos sent your contact’s photostream. This concludes your public service announcement for the morning.
If you were in Riverside today you were probably looking at the storm outside thinking to yourself “wasn’t it like 110 degrees on Monday?”. Here are some shots I snapped amidst our freak hurricane we had this afternoon.
So apparently September 12 came a little early this year. Specifically it decided to land on this last Friday and my wife surprised me with a gift to celebrate the occasion. This is my gift.
I don’t care what you say, my wife is cooler than you wife.
