A cute little thing I used to say to Kat when we first started dating was that I was so sad that I never knew her during high school and college and wished I could have met her then and known her more of my life. Then I think back to how I was in high school and thank God for his infinite wisdom and timing.

No, this is not junior high or even freshman year. Look at the date, I’m 17 in this picture.

ya, we’re having a yard sale tomorrow. trying to get rid of more junk, mostly stuff my parents left with me and stuff that Lady has had brimming over in her new house since she moved in. painted the signs tonight to hang in the morning.

ought to be interesting, i’ll probably sit in a chair with my camera taking pictures of people sniper style. maybe i should just climb our big tree and get above the madness that is yard sales.
come by, say hi, buy some stuff, keep us company, do whatever you want. we’ll probably be out there for a while.

Driving down Orange St. I look out the passenger window and see that someone seems to have stolen my baby.

The only problem is that, as Inspector Clouseau would put it, “It’s not my dog.”

I am one of those rare people who enjoys comedy. You know, a chortle here, a guffaw there. And one of my all-time favorite comedians is this hombre:

Description: Woke up to the alarm at 6:30 am. Got my son out of his crib, handed him to my wife. OJ + medication + forgot to take my multivitamin. Checked my email, Twitter, etc. Did a couple posts. Showered but didn’t shave. Took care of my son while my wife went to the gym. He played on the floor a bit, we laughed and giggled together a lot. Good times. Then he got hungry so I fed him while watching Honey I Shrunk the Kids on cable. When my wife got home around 10am, I put him down for a nap, packed up my bag, and left for work. N train to Canal then a 5 minute walk to the office. Worked on some PHP for a couple of hours, making less progress than I would have liked. Caught a baby mouse in a drinking glass at the office. Went to get lunch with the gang. First and second choices no good, but ended up at an Italian bakery/deli on Mott. Turkey and provolone on a roll with mayo and lettuce, Pepsi, and potato chips (sour cream and onion). Gave leftover sandwich to the baby mouse, AKA “Feedy”. Sat back down at my desk. Selected “iToner” from bookmarks list and waited. Error number NSURLErrorDomain:-1005.

So, if anyone has seen Kathy or I driving around Riverside since last October they would know that we have been driving a big nasty 4WD 6 Cylinder Ford Escape that we originally bought for Boston weather that we would have faced if we had moved to the east coast in January. Well, we didn’t and ended up still owning the monster and, being the po’ ass folks we are, were forced to keep as long as we could.
That vehicle era ended on Monday when we picked up our new trade in for the Escape and drove him in this:

A 2007 Dodge Caliber. Its smaller, newer, has only 4 cylinders and can fit my bike in the back which is all we need. Plus, it has an ipod jack so no more going ghetto style on long trips by hooking our dock speakers to the cigarette lighter and setting it on the dashboard to listen.
I am excited about it. I felt like a hypocrite trying to be more conscientious about my environment while driving my gas guzzler around. This one gets close to double the mileage and its super quiet.

Can’t beat this.
Kathy and I got home from picking me up at work last night. We jumped on our bikes, through leashes on the dogs (Toby just goes in the basket) and rode over to Chipotle for some grub. Best part, we both shared a crunchy taco meal for free, compliments of our coupon we got in the mail the other day.
Then Kathy gets an idea to grab our computers and go to Panera for some desert and a little “Office” action. We ride home, grab our lappies, give the dogs some water and then ride back to the Plaza and sit down outside of Panera to set up camp.

Kat goes in, grabs a coffee and some deserts to nibble on and we start to watch God’s greatest gift to mankind (after Jesus of course), “The Office”. We finish two episodes, all the deserts, the majority of Kathy’s oversized pumpkin spice latte and ride back home.
Rather peaceful and quiet night with my best friend and we didn’t even get in the car once. Bitchin’
